2022 STUDY AWARDS

Despite not having any concerts this summer due to Covid 19 restrictions, the Twilight Concert Committee have still awarded three Tertiary Study Grants to local students.

There are usually only two study grants up for grabs, but this year the committee felt all three applicants were worthy recipients and have granted them a study award each.

Troy Rea is intending to study in the Arts Design field and heads to Massey University in Wellington to do this. The committee were very impressed with some of the work he presented.

Christina Hewett will spend the next three years at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in Auckland, completing a Bachelor of Audio Production with a view to working backstage on TV shows. She would love to come back to Katikati College one day and share her skills.

Freyja Dunsmuir is heading to Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology next year to complete a Certificate of Music and follow her passion for singing and song writing.

The excellent calibre of the applicants made it an easy decision for the Twilight Concert Committee to award a grant to all three applicants and we wish them well in their studies.
