Haiku Reserve, Main Street, Katikati
The third and final concert for the 2014 summer season features a line-up of home-brewed talent from around the Bay of Plenty: a show with acts of all ages and a mix of multi-talented artists!
Headliners Standing O are a newly formed group of friends who met through musical theatre in the Bay of Plenty. Recently they were all involved with the very successful Tauranga Musical Theatre’s season of Grease.
Four of the group opened a Katikati Twilight Concert as Misdirection in 2013; you might remember their entertaining routine from that concert… so with a few people added and a name change we have Standing O, especially brought together for this concert. A diverse bunch of people – from amateurs, professionals, production company owners, music teachers, business owners and students – this group is sure to have you on your feet and dancing in the aisles to songs you know and love.
The Katikati Band will welcome you to this final event in the 2014 Twilight Concert series with some stirring band music!
Danni, Lochlan and Seth
Katikati’s own trio of Danni Roberts, Lochlan Fowler and Seth Rackham perform for the first time together for your entertainment. Individually they are extremely talented, so imagine when these three ex-Katikati College students team up to perform what a great spectacle it will be.
Vocalists Danni and Seth are both songwriters, and Seth plays guitar and piano. Completing the trio, Lochlan is amazing on drums as well as piano. We are lucky to have such great kids in our midst.
Topping it off we have four intermediate age students who have combined to form Zuhana, who represented Katikati College at the recent Smokefree Rockquest Challenge and won the People’s Choice Award for the Bay of Plenty. Andrew,
Charlie, Greg and Louie are bound to amaze with the their talent. They say they get the inspiration for their reggae/pop/rock mix from Tiki Tane and six60.
Be there to see them perform: we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
