Saturday January 26th
Main Street, Katikati
Wow, the Haiku Reserve was really rocking with the Superstar Show in town on Saturday January 26th!
Local act, Two’s Company and Friends opened the second Twilight Concert to an almost-2000-strong crowd. They performed a mix of covers and their own originals which were very well received.
It was a beautiful evening in Katikati and everyone was there ready to party! MC Dan Pepperrell introduced the Superstar show and as the BeeGees (aka Paul Madsen and friends) appeared on stage, complete with white jackets, the park began rocking. Great classics like Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever and Massachusetts had hands clapping and toes tapping.
The second half saw a switch to Queen and Eagles favourites…. too many to list! It was a really interactive show with kids on stage “flossing” and even some local talent got a bit of microphone time.
Great fun was had by all involved and we suspect we’ll see this group in Katikati again in the future.
