Concert 2 Review

The weather gods played the game and concert-goers arrived in numbers – about 1400 of them – for the second Twilight Concert of 2021.

The concert committee are very grateful for the support of the community, and those who attended were treated to a great night.

Fletcher Oxford (pictured) opened the show with some original songs and an amazing rendition of Seven Spanish Angels which all went down well with the audience.

The main act was a group of fourteen Tauranga locals who got together especially for this Twilight Concert. Putting in hours of practice in order to entertain in true professional style, they rocked the park from the first song. It wasn’t hard to see the talent we have in our midst. Great vocals and backup musicians, including a brass section, were all truly awesome.

Where else can you have this great value entertainment in such a lovely family-friendly environment and be able to take your food and refreshments with you? Long may it last!

Planning is underway for the 2022 season so watch out for updates later in the year.
