Anna Hawkins
and Friends

Concert three will be a very special event when Anna Hawkins and Friends take to the stage.

Anna has previously performed at Twilight Concerts and is always so popular with concert-goers.

With her stunning stage presence and a voice that has the power to impress and uplift, this will be a must-see show.

Anna Hawkins and Friends are in town for the final summer Twilight Concert of 2020.

Known for her expressive vocals and moving interpretations, New Zealand songstress Anna Hawkins crosses the great divide of classical, folk and popular music.

No stranger to the Katikati Twilight Concert stage, Anna will present a varied night of song, including a musical theatre interlude and a taste of her brand new show, Songbirds, as she pays homage to the female singer/songwriters who revolutionised folk music in the 60s and 70s: Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Bobby Gentry and more.

Joined by her band, Anna will perform audience favourites and an interlude of ‘songs from the stage’ supported by guests from the local Tauranga musical theatre scene. The evening will finish with a special guest appearance by sister Lisa Grace Hawkins, who will wow audiences with her spine-tingling voice.

For the last ten years they have played the occasional charity concert and just for their own enjoyment.

Members are Julie Cunningham on fiddle, Alistair Bennett on piano accordion, Greg Bettridge on bass and Don Wallis on guitar and vocals.

In the event of bad weather, the concert will be held on Sunday 9th February.
